Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
1.1. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the use of Arifpay Financial Technologies SC's remittance services, specifically "Arif Remit" ("Services").
1.2. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Services.
2. Services Provided
2.1. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC, licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia, offers secure and convenient money remittance services through the Arif Remit platform.
2.2. Arif Remit facilitates sending money to beneficiaries in Ethiopia through various channels, including:
2.2.1 Bank Transfer
- Users can send money directly to bank accounts in Ethiopia. Available recipient banks include, but are not limited to, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Bank of Abyssinia, Zemen Bank, Enat Bank, Ahadu Bank, Dashen Bank, and Awash Bank.
- Users are responsible for providing accurate recipient bank details, including the correct bank name and account number, for successful transfer processing.
- The exchange rate (e.g., 1 USD = 130.00 ETB) will be displayed at the time of the transaction.
- A minimum transfer amount (e.g., 5 USD) may apply.
2.2.2 Wallet Transfer
- Users can send money to mobile wallet accounts in Ethiopia.
- Users are responsible for providing accurate recipient wallet details, including the correct wallet provider (e.g., Telebirr) and wallet number, for successful transfer processing.
- The exchange rate (e.g., 1 USD = 130.00 ETB) will be displayed at the time of the transaction.
2.2.3 Cash Pickup
- Users can send money for cash pickup by beneficiaries at designated locations.
- Users are responsible for providing accurate recipient details, including the full name and phone number of the receiver, for successful cash pickup.
- The exchange rate (e.g., 1 USD = 130.00 ETB) will be displayed at the time of the transaction.
2.3 Arifpay Financial Technologies SC may introduce additional services or make changes to existing services in the future, subject to regulatory approvals.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
- 3.1. To use Arif Remit services, users may be required to create an account by providing personal information including First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone Number, and setting up a password.
- 3.2. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login password and any payment passwords.
- 3.3. Users must provide accurate and up-to-date personal and recipient information for all transactions. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC is not responsible for losses incurred due to inaccurate information provided by the user.
- 3.4. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, loss or leak of your login credentials, or fraudulent use of your identity or account information, you must immediately contact Arifpay's contact center at 9395. Failure to notify the Company promptly may result in your liability for any losses incurred.
- 3.5. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC reserves the right to adjust transaction quantities, types, limits, and functions in accordance with the requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia, industry specifications, and regulatory policies.
4. User Authorization
- 4.1. In order to meet the requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia and other pertinent regulations, users authorize Arifpay Financial Technologies SC to inquire and verify their identity information and account details with state agencies, financial institutions, enterprises, and institutions.
- 4.2. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC reserves the right to revise the content of this agreement according to business operational adjustments. Any revisions will be published in advance on the company's website. Users are responsible for staying informed about the latest terms and conditions released by Arifpay Financial Technologies SC.
5. Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
- 5.1. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC retains all intellectual property rights related to the Services, including but not limited to software, logos, trademarks, and content. Users may not use, reproduce, modify, distribute, or display any of Arifpay's intellectual property without prior written consent.
6. Suspension, Interruption, or Termination of the Service
- 6.1. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC reserves the right to suspend, interrupt, or terminate the Services temporarily or permanently, without prior notice, for various reasons including but not limited to:
- 6.1.1. Maintenance, upgrades, or repairs of the system.
- 6.1.2. Security concerns or suspected unauthorized access.
- 6.1.3. Non-compliance with these Terms or violation of applicable laws or regulations.
- 6.1.4. Force majeure events beyond the control of Arifpay Financial Technologies SC.
- 6.2. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or inconvenience arising from the suspension, interruption, or termination of the Services.
7. Limitation of Liability
- 7.1. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Services, including but not limited to any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- 7.2. Arifpay Financial Technologies SC's liability, if any, shall be limited to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- 8.1. These Terms shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
- 8.2. Any dispute relating to these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ethiopian courts.
By using the Arif Remit Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
